Vintage Fashion with Fleur Seule

Spring Edition: The music and fashion of the 1940s is my style! Here are some of my favorite outfits this year.

This first photo is my summer Sailor Girl outfit - Complete with floppy sun hat and wiggle dress. I was feeling patriotic! Here is the full length look. During wartime, if you could look patriotic and stylish, you had the perfect outfit. Nautical inspiration was everywhere in the WWII fashion, with sailor cuts and colors. "Anchors Aweigh" is a 1945 American Technicolor movie musical starring Frank Sinatra, Kathryn Grayson, and Gene Kelly - I can picture them wearing this outfit in the film!

This next look is my casual on the set look - I needed to be comfortable and cool, and these 1940s pants not only looked the part, but have pockets! Katherine Hepburn was the queen of 1940s pantsuits and I took inspiration from her business casual look. I love the wide leg look with the flattering high waist. Chunky heels were all the rage and matched with my white off the shoulder top and pearls, I am ready for a day by the pool.

I love this flower wiggle dress from Stop Staring - It is so feminine and flattering for any shape. Dresses in the 40s and 50s showed off a gal's curves and made her look great. Can you spy our latest album, "Swing Around the World" in this photo?

More 1940s Vintage Fashion to come in the next installment - Stay tuned!
