Fleur Seule – My husband brought me to see Fleur Seule perform at Tavern on the Green in New York City the night he proposed. I knew a proposal was coming and the moment I heard their first number I said to him, “we NEED to have them perform at our wedding.” After he popped the question, one of my first emails was to Allyson Briggs to get a sense of cost and their availability for the fall of 2019. We booked them for our wedding to perform as guests arrive at our ceremony, our processional/recessional at the ceremony, our cocktail hour and our first dance at the reception. For our first dance, I asked Allyson if they would be open to a song outside of their repertoire and she worked with us to do a rendition of Lovesong (originally by The Cure and covered by 311 [our song as a couple) and also done by Adele). It was a huge success. We had many guests comment on how amazing they were and what a nice touch it was to have them as part of the wedding given they were part of our engagement story (this was mentioned by the officiant during our ceremony so everyone was aware). Fleur Seule is a group of tremendously talented musicians and I would highly recommend them for any wedding or special event. I’d also recommend people to see them at one of their regular residencies in the city – it’s a great time!

We found Allyson by coincidence while grabbing drinks at Da Dong in Bryant Park. We loved Allyson and her band so much we decided to book Fleur Seule for our wedding’s welcome drinks, ceremony, and cocktail hour! They were truly fantastic, and I can still remember my now-wife’s walk down the aisle to Allyson’s beautiful rendition of La Vie En Rose. The band was a huge hit at the cocktail hour as well, which we unfortunately missed much of given family photographs (but we are glad our guests were able to enjoy!). Stylistically, FS’s music matched our wedding perfectly, and needless to say, we highly recommend Fleur Seule.

We were so tired of DJs and such, and didn't want to just hire some band. We got very lucky and were attending a brunch in New York City where Fleur Seule was playing. We instantly fell in love with their music and presence, and right away knew that we had to have Fleur Seule play at our wedding. All our guests loved Fleur Seule, and especially my mother-in-law (who is one tough customer). She and my father-in-law barely left the dance floor all night. All-in-all, if you are looking for something unique and special for your special day you'll find it in Fleur Seule. We are forever grateful to Fleur Seule to have provided the beautiful music for the entertainment of our guests and us at our wedding.

Allyson and Fleur Seule did a lovely job at our wedding. We can't count the number of guests who complimented them, from jazz aficionados impressed by the group's technique, former wedding band musicians impressed by their professionalism, and old people impressed by their set list and "appropriate volume." :) The band rotated through breaks so they could provide uninterrupted music for 5 hours. We embraced the 40s style in our design, as well, some guests dressed to the period, and it provided a nice theme for our wedding!

I had my wedding on Saturday & Fleur Seule played both my cocktail hour & first hour of reception. Allyson is extremely easy to work with & did everything she could to make my wedding perfect. They were so classy and sounded amazing. They played our first dance and our parents dances and really went with the flow. If we needed the dance to last a little longer or even end early, Allyson would pay attention to our cues & work with us. I fully recommend Fleur Seule!!
