Join Allyson Briggs at the Hudson Library & Historical Society to travel back in time to the 1940s! Come on a big band tour of the WWII era music, when Glenn Miller and The Andrews Sisters filled the airwaves with swinging, patriotic songs.
The Hudson Library and Historical Society will hold a live, in-person concert on March 2, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. with nationally recognized vocalist, Allyson Briggs. She will perform popular hits from the World War II era. This program is part of the Hudson Library’s “World War II month.”
Allyson Briggs has become one of the most sought-after vocalists and bandleaders today. She has received critical acclaim from Playbill, The New York Sun, The Syncopated Times, and BroadwayWorld, who writes, “Briggs' vocal instrument is beautiful beyond compare.” She has released 7 critically acclaimed studio albums, with many of her original songs featured in film and TV. Her latest album, “Promises, Prayers, and Raindrops: Allyson Briggs Sings Burt Bacharach” was at the top of the Jazz Charts through much of 2024.
